I have made quite a few lofty goals for myself in 2019. A book a month is just one of my goals this year. Actually, I am shooting for two books a month. But I did not want to get too crazy because I know life will happen. Most are business books because I want to continue to grow my practice as well as my TpT store and blog. If you are a SLPreneur, this is the post for you! Each one of these books I’ve seen recommended time and again on other blogs or Instagram profiles. At the end of each month, I plan to write a review on how the information in the book helped me as an SLP. Hopefully, you’ll stick around with me and find you a FABULOUS book that changes your world! Ok, that might be little too dramatic but you know what I am saying. Not quite sure what an “SLPreneur” is? Simple! It is an SLP who owns a business, whether it be a private practice, TpT store, blog, podcast, YouTube channel-WHATEVER! That makes you an SLPreneur. Welcome to the club! (Sorry, we don’t have cool jackets or anything!)

To start January, I’m finishing a book called “The Sweet Spot: How to Accomplish More by Doing Less.” Have you ever read a book and wished the author was sitting right next to you so you just give them a big ol’ hug?! That’s me with just about every chapter in this book! I am over halfway through the book, and there has been (not joking) a BAZILLION TIMES I’ve said “Oh MY GOSH! You are so right, Christine!!” Because at this point, the author and I are on a first name basis in my head. She talks a lot about habits and ways to form good ones. The author also has an entire part dedicated to overwhelmness! That’s a word, spell check! And can I get an “AMEN” on feeling so overwhelmed you have no clue where to start or what to do except cry? So if you are looking for a great book to get you started in the new year, check this one fo’ sho’!!

There it is! My list of “What I am Reading” for 2019. I still have a couple of “fun” reads that aren’t on the list like “The Good Neighbor.” My goal is to at least read this list by the end of 2019. A few of these are already on my shelf at home and most were already in my Amazon wishlist. I listened to Christy Wright’s podcast before the holidays and really enjoyed it! Definitely a recommendation from me. I listened to Donald Miller and Jen Sincero as guests on other podcasts. Don’t worry! I am working on a list of my favorite podcasts to listen to for the SLPreneur. If you are reading along with me, I would love for you to take me on Instagram! Maybe we could start our own little SLPreneur book club!
From one SLPreneur to another, crush those goals in 2019!!
